2018 is the 100 year anniversary of women’s suffrage in the UK so we think it's time to celebrate.
Date: 7th June
Venue: The Guildhall, Guildford
On 7th June this year we are holding an EqualiTea at the Guildhall in Guildford where we plan to celebrate this landmark and also to encourage women to consider their role in public life.
Hosted by the Mayor of Guildford we will be exploring the relationship of women and power over evening tea and scones. Where better to do this than in a venue built by men, for men, with no idea that seven centuries later it could possibly be used by women to encourage each other into public life - a true indicator of just how far we've come.
During the evening we will be hosting speakers and panel discussions with women already in powerful public positions, asking them to share their journeys and 'top-tips' for taking part in public life.
